In some ways Saiyyidah is ‘just a mum,’ in others she has been inspiring individuals all over the world to be rich, happy, and whole in her unique strategic and inspiring way. She originally trained as an Architect at the world renowned Mackintosh School of Architecture in Glasgow. But all of that came to an abrupt end as a result of a car accident in 1998 where Saiyyidah almost died. As a result she had to leave her work and her career. After months of rehabilitation Saiyyidah made some serious decisions and started to take control of her life. This meant applying the Prophetic saying of ‘Tie your camel and leave the rest to God’ for real.
Saiyyidah went on to become the youngest Director in local government and her nickname at work was the ‘terrier’ because she was known for getting the job done whilst developing and growing her team- many of whom are now Directors themselves! Despite being responsible for the procurement of over $500 million of regeneration works, Saiyyidah remembers her most challenging negotiation as if it was yesterday – persuading her five year old daughter to go to school on a spring morning!
Saiyyidah moved from employee to entrepreneur knowing nothing about running a business or starting a company. In fact when she began this line of work, Saiyyidah had no social media presence and did not even know what a blog was!
